• Tlingit Carver

I was raised in the Southeast Alaska town of Yakutat. I am part Tlingit of the Eagle clan.  I now call Sitka, Alaska my home.
I am fullfilling my dream of pursuing something related to traditional Tlingit art, while having the freedom to express my own style.
My hope is that you will enjoy something I’ve created.

I enjoy carving on metals to create unique pieces of jewelry and art. I am using traditional Tlingit carving and formline as an inspiration to create my own contemporary pieces.

Dave Galanin has taken me under his wing to help me understand more about my Tlingit culture and the art of carving on metals.  He keeps me focused on the traditional aspects of carving while teaching me the technical aspects.

In 2012 I was awarded the Master Artist and Apprentice Grant in Traditional Native Arts from the Alaska State Council on the Arts. This gave me the opportunity to work with Nicolas Galanin in the art of metal carving.

I'd love to hear from you.  Also feel free to contact me for custom orders.
